As many kinds as real families have. A probable parent is drawn like a birth parent, and a possible one has an amber dotted line – here's what to do when you're not sure who someone's dad is. A Donor has a sky-blue dashed line and a Surrogate a rose dashed line. A Guardian can be legal, or someone they lived with, and Raised by is for the people who brought them up. And everyone can choose their own words: Ben calls his donor "Dad", while the rest of the family see "Donor".
