No harm done! One undo in Recent Activity puts everything back exactly as it was, all the links included. The spare record also waits in the Drawer's "Deleted – kept safe for 60 days" folder, where it can be put back. For example, if you merged two cousins called John by mistake, undo it and both Johns are back with their own families.
Where to find it
Settings (bottom row of the top bar, far right) → Recent Activity
Only people with the "Undo saves and restore" tick.
On a phone: if the Settings tabs are tucked away, press ☰ Menu (top left) first.
