Under the parent's Children, press What are you trying to fix?, then Something else…, and choose the option saying a child shouldn't be in the tree at all. We'll handle this gently, and ask what happened before anything changes. The child is kept safe for 60 days in the Drawer, so Put back brings them home with their links if it was a mistake.
Where to find it
Person page (Safe edit on) → under Parents, Partners or Children → What are you trying to fix?
Only people with the "Add people" and "Remove" ticks, with Safe edit on.
Drawer (third row of the top bar, far right) → Deleted – kept safe for 60 days → Put back
Only people with the "Remove" tick.
On a phone: if the menu is tucked away, press ☰ Menu (top left) first.
