Yes – in Settings → My own words, type your own word beside any relationship and only you see it, on this device. Leave a box empty to use the tree's word. For example, Ben calls his donor "Dad", while everyone else sees "Donor". A few words can't be used – here's why.

Settings, bottom row, far right
Only people with the "Settings" tick.
Press your name in "Signed in as" (top row) → your card opens → Personal settings on the card's button row → How it looks → My own words
On a phone: if the menu is tucked away, press ☰ Menu (top left) first.
