Is there a tool that checks my tree for mistakes?

Yes – Tidy up, in Settings, looks over your tree and lists things worth a look: missing dates, people who might be the same person, odd spellings and loose ends. Snooze anything you'd rather leave for later. A little pruning goes a long way! For example, it might spot two Great-Aunt Ednas born the same year and ask if they're one person.

Where to find it

  • Settings, bottom row, far right

Only people with the "Settings" tick.

On a phone: if the menu is tucked away, press ☰ Menu (top left) first.
