If you're the tree owner, open Settings, go to Your family tree and use Name your tree. Pick something the whole family will smile at – "The Swindon Branch" or "Nan's Lot". The new name shows for everyone straight away.

Only people with the "Settings" tick.
On a phone: if the menu is tucked away, press ☰ Menu (top left) first.
